More needs to be said about Walter Scott. In those days there were quite a few of us kids. He would make his own 8 foot tall box kites and fly them from a master spool of fishing line using a drill to bring the kites back to earth.

He would sell the materials to us kids and when we would complete the kite he would give us our money back plus the kite. He flew one kite so high the FAA got involved.

He was a great neighbor and got into flying kites when his doc told him to go fly a kite.
